Katie Linsky Shaw is a freelance photojournalist based in Asheville, North Carolina. She's worked as a photographer and writer since college. She started as a freelancer for a large, daily newspaper in Memphis, Tennessee and continued to freelance as a writer and photojournalist for publications in Arkansas and North Carolina. Katie is currently working on a photojournalistic project documenting the youth mental health epidemic which was inspired by her son's struggles. She's also working on a fine art photography project on the youth mental health crisis. She continues to document everyday life in Asheville, NC, once named the "quirkiest town in America."
