Katie Linsky Shaw is a freelance photojournalist based in Asheville, North Carolina. She's worked as a photographer and writer since college. She started as a freelancer for a large, daily newspaper in Memphis, Tennessee and continued to freelance as a writer and photojournalist for publications in Arkansas and North Carolina.Katie is currently working on a photojournalistic project documenting the youth mental health epidemic which was inspired by her son's struggles. She's also working on a fine art photography project presenting the topic of mental health in an approachable, whimsical way. She continues to document everyday life in Asheville, NC, once named the "quirkiest town in America."
